Getting Ready for Kindergarten with Ready4K

children in line, raised hands

Caregivers can now sign up for Ready4K at no cost through San José Public Library!

Ready4K is a research-based text messaging system for caregivers of children age 0-8.  Each week, you'll receive three texts to help your child learn and grow, and all are specifically designed for the child's stage of development. The fun facts and easy tips are easy to mix into your daily family routine, like pointing out letters on a cereal box or counting the number of steps as you walk to the car.

Do you care for multiple children? Sign up to receive texts related to each child's age!

How to Sign Up

Caregivers can opt in by signing up below or texting 'SJPL' to 70138 and answering a few short questions.

Ready4K is offered in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Arabic.

Hi Sukkyong,

Please keep checking on our events page. We're working on creating wonderful preschool programs to help children prepare for Kindergarten.

Hi Permalink,

I signed up for this Ready4K program and have gotten many amazing advice. Unfortunately, I deleted my text messages accidentally. Is it possible to reread the passed messages online or other formats? Please advise. Thank you in advance.
