What is "Shmoozle?" It's an original children's play written by Notre Dame High School student Samantha Albert, directed by Chiarra Sorci and performed by students from Notre Dame. Shmoozle is a little monster about to start kindergarten and has all the fears that children have on this very important day in thier lives. Find out how Shmoozle conquers his fears, discovers new friends plus a love of school. The performance will be followed by a Holiday Sing-Along led by the students. Join us on Wednesday, December 12 at 4:00PM at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library for this fun program plus help us express our thanks to these wonderful Notre Dame High School students. San Jose Public Library does have books on writing plays for those children who are inspired to try their own hands at writing a play after watching this performance.
The King Library has a wonderful partnership with Notre Dame High School. This is the second year they are perfoming for us; also many of its students volunteer at the King Library as Homework Club tutors and also volunteer at special programs at King.
