Baking Tips (NEW 02/06/24)

  • Biscuits:  Add honey or butter!
  • Measuring:  Remember to use a spoon to add flour to your measuring cup, don't measure flour directly from the container.  Better, weigh the flour on a kitchen scale!
  • Cakes or cookies:  Remember to sift the flour.

Recommendation for Magazine Recipes

A community member touts the recipes in the cooking magazine, Cooking Light (has great recipes).

Here is a salad recipe called Cool Summer Salad that they recommend:

Ingredients

  • Asparagus/chopped
  • White beans
  • Basil
  • Lemon and oil dressing

Mix together.  It's "fast and easy."
