On December 1st, the Boundless eBook platform will be discontinued due to the shutdown of its parent company, Baker & Taylor.
Unfortunately, this means SJPL patrons will lose access to current checkouts, holds, and reading history. Boundless does not provide an option to export your data, so we recommend making note of any information you want to save. For example, you can use the My Shelves feature in the library catalog to save lists of titles you’ve read or want to read.
Meet Libby
SJPL’s current Boundless collection will move to Overdrive and can be accessed from the Overdrive website or the Libby app. Libby offers a best-in-class reading experience for eBooks, eAudiobooks, comics, and magazines.
Please see these links for additional details and instructions for using Overdrive and Libby:
For more information about using Libby and the OverDrive website with specific devices, visit the Getting Started page, then scroll down to select your device.

Baker & Taylor, the company that owns Boundless, is going out of business and will cease all operations by the end of the year.
After December 1st, 2025 the Boundless website and app will no longer be available to SJPL patrons. The titles in SJPL’s Boundless collection will be transferred to Overdrive, but this process may take several weeks to complete.
Why is Baker & Taylor shutting down, and how will it affect the library?
