  • YA Authors and Two Fangirls

    Have you ever been to a convention? How about a movie or book event? No? Then you might be not familiar with the crazy that accompanies it. I have been to enough signings and events to understand that no matter what, there is no force that can stop the passion a person feels about something when they're in their prime. Despite the crazy, those are the experiences you will cherish for lifetimes. For Alyssa, another San Jose Public Library blogger, and I, we had the privilege of attending two book signings featuring three amazing Young Adult authors we fangirlishly adore: Josephine Angelini, Holly Black, and Cassandra Clare.

  • Zombies on a Plane!?Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead

    Remember the movie released back in 2006 called Snakes on a Plane starring Samuel L. Jackson? No? Then let me proceed to tell you how traumatic, yet brilliant, that movie was and how horrifying a situation like that might be if it was true. Imagine yourself sitting on a flight and counting down the number hours until you land. Now imagine the same flight planted with hundreds of venomous snakes slithering their way through pipes, your luggage, and ready to attack if provoked even by the smallest sound or movement.
