San José Public Library is excited to offer our newest program, Cosplay On Display! Join us in celebrating the creative ingenuity that is costume play, or cosplay in our community, while featuring an SJPL card design.

The deadline for entries is extended through Friday, August 26th.

The 2022 Cosplay on Display is open to all California residents and participants of all ages. Entries are accepted between June 1 - August 26, 2022 and there are individual and group categories. SJPL staff are invited to enter in the staff category!

Submit up to 3 photos of yourself or a group in cosplay. All photos must feature a visible front design of a San José Public Library Card. Get your free library card and become a member at any SJPL location during operating hours.

Review the program Guidelines and Entry Form before submitting. Entries can be submitted through BiblioBoard or by email (graphicnovels@sjlibray.org). Please include an Entry Form for all cosplayers in a photo.

Submissions will be viewable in digital collection on BiblioBoard and select images will be featured in our Graphic Novel Making Contest Awards Ceremony on September 10, 2022.

To thank you for participating in inaugural Cosplay on Display program, we will provide a small thank you gift to each featured cosplayer! Gifts will be available starting on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the end of the Virtual Awards Ceremony. Information on how to claim your gift will be emailed to participants by September 7, 2022. Everyone who submits an entry into the Graphic Novel Making Contest and/or 2022 SJPL Cosplay on Display is invited to attend the 2022 Virtual Awards Ceremony virtually or in-person at a Watch Party hosted at select SJPL locations.
