This year, Early Education Services is offering its Summer Learning Program for childcare providers virtually.

By registering your organization for this year's summer learning program, you'll have access to a variety of fun and education activities around our selected book: Up in the Garden, Down in the Dirt by Kate Messner.

This year's title is an introduction and special look inside what happens under and above the dirt and soil where we plant seeds.

"Explore the hidden world and many lives of a garden through the course of a year! Up in the garden, the world is full of green—leaves and sprouts, growing vegetables, ripening fruit. But down in the dirt exists a busy world—earthworms dig, snakes hunt, skunks burrow—populated by all the animals that make a garden their home." (Kate Messner).

Registration is now closed. We'll play again next summer!

Start the experience with the children in your care by watching the storytimes of the book provided in English, Spanish, Vietnamese and Chinese. Once you register, you'll receive a packet full of activities to do throughout the summer.

*Please note that registration for the program is available only to childcare providers in San Jose.
