In recent weeks, we learned about the UC Master Gardening Program in Part 1 and about the instructors in Part 2.
This week, we'll learn about how to attend classes at Cambrian Library's Gardening for Beginners Class!
The Gardening for Beginners Class at Cambrian Library
Susan Holmer provided me with some information about the Gardening for Beginners Class in March:
"Gardening for Beginners (and Not Really Beginners) has been presented annually since 2020. During the pandemic isolation years the program was presented remotely for two years. The cumulative class attendance during those years ranged from 400+ to 750+. Live classroom sessions are understandably smaller but we have “sold out” all seats in the classroom space we had available.
The class is taught over a 4 week period. We meet for 3 Saturday mornings at the Cambrian Library" (and the last class is at Martial Cottle Park's UC Master Gardeners Demonstration Garden.)"
Feedback from Previous Attendees of the 4 Week Gardening for Beginners Class
Are you excited to attend the classes, yet? Here are some comments made from past attendees:
“I learned all the things I was doing wrong!”
“I came to the class overwhelmed with how to start gardening, now I feel open to learning.”
“As a beginner, this class peaked my interest in gardening. More important, this class gave me the confidence to proceed to garden.”
“Thank you so much. The teachers were great, the knowledge was infinite, and the pacing was accessible.”
