Gale In Context: Your Research Power Tools!

Imagine you're working on a research project, and you have no idea where to begin. That’s where the Gale In Context databases prove very useful. This family of databases provides access to a large collection of peer reviewed, academic journals, articles, and e-books, making it much easier to find reliable and up-to-date information. Whether you’re diving into a science paper, researching a historical event, or exploring a topic of personal interest, Gale In Context databases will help you quickly find accurate and relevant facts. With everything neatly organized, you can focus more on your research and less on the hunt for trustworthy sources.

Student-Friendly Design

While these databases offer an extensive range of scholarly resources, they can sometimes feel overwhelming due to their vastness and complex search options. For students looking for a more streamlined and user-friendly experience, the Elementary, Middle School, and High School databases are a good place to start for grade-appropriate material. These databases are specifically designed with students in mind, offering a simplified interface that makes it easier to search for reliable sources by topic, reading level, and type of resource, without relying on complicated search filters. This makes them perfect for those who may be new to research or need to find information quickly.

Gale In Context: Elementary introduces elementary students to database searching with resources featuring age-appropriate, curriculum-related content. Gale In Context: Middle School allows students to explore the most-studied topics including cultures, government, people, history, literature, and more.  Gale In Context: High School allows older students to explore thousands of topics across subjects including literature, science, history, and social issues using different sources. Whether you’re an elementary school student just starting to explore topics or a high school student diving deep into a specialized subject, the San José Public Library’s Gale database collections have something to suit your level and area of interest. With such a diverse selection, you’re sure to find the right database to help you succeed in your research project.
