New Reading Kits: Monday, June 7
We're excited to announce the new Wee Read! Books to Go & Grow! bags will soon be available for checkout. You can request the bags through our catalog and pick up at your desired location.
Beginning Monday, June 7, 2021, these bags will be available for you to check out for a 3-week period with 1 renewal.
Themes
There will be twelve themed storytime bags, with topics related to:
- Voices in Our Community Series
- Children & Social Emotional Learning Series
- Having Bigger Conversation Series
What's in the bag?
Each bag will contain:
- Eight picture books selected based on criteria developed to screen for cultural authenticity to ensure that they widely reflect culture, race, gender, family makeup or ability.
- A resource page for parents and caregivers with tips and ideas on how to foster positive early learning experiences using the material.
