Where to Get Help

Tax help opportunities are available this year at four library locations:

VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance)

About VITA

VITA offers free tax help to hard working individuals and families whose income is less than $64,000. All locations provide e-File. Volunteers are trained to prepare these forms.

What to Bring

  • Photo ID and Social Security card or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) for each family member.
  • W-2 forms and all 1099, or all other tax forms you received.
  • A copy of last year's federal and state tax return, if available.
  • Bank account number and routing number for direct deposit.
  • Health coverage information (1095-A,B,C).

VITA Library Sites

    • Hillview Branch
      • When: Saturdays, 2:00 – 5:00 PM, Feb. 10 – April 13, 2024
      • How: No Registration; walk-in only. First come, first served.
    • Pearl Avenue Branch    
      • When: Thursdays, 4:00 – 7:00 PM, Feb. 1 – April 11, 2024
      • How: No Registration; walk-in only. First come, first served. A sign in sheet will be put out for assistance each day at 1:00 PM.
    • Seven Trees Branch    
      • When: Saturdays, 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, Feb. 3 – Apr. 13, 2024
      • How: No Registration; walk-in only. First come, first served.
