Prizes for other age groups sound cool, but pre-teens get earbuds? Those don't sound very appealing.

This sounds like a great challenge! I am wondering though, how exactly do we win the prizes? Do we just get all the badges?

Really nice prizes but some of them are a little unappealing, like the backpack and earbuds.

    Hi,

I was attempting to log in some badges for the reading program, but the website says that the challenge is over even though it is still April 30. Is there any way I can still qualify for the grand prize?

Summer Reading is considered to be a crucial topic these days and the beauty of Summer Reading is that the students have freedom of choice. There's nothing assigned to you, no homework, no assignments. You choose the books that appeal to you the most. Search your local library stacks thoroughly and pick any book that you find interesting. According to a research the students who read for fun had better grades and positive social and emotional results. One doesn't have to wade through piles of heavy history books expand their thinking capacity, as long as they are enjoying what they're reading.
