San José Public Library (SJPL) and San José Public Library Foundation are embarking on an exciting journey that will shape the future of our library system. In the spirit of providing our residents with the best resources and services possible, we are developing a new Facilities and Customer Experience Plan. This plan will help guide improvements to our buildings and the services we offer over the next several years.
About the Project
Guided by the library planning consultants, Margaret Sullivan Studio, we are taking a close look at our physical library spaces and how you interact with our resources, programs, and staff. The goal is to create a clear roadmap for improvements that ensure SJPL remains a welcoming resource for everyone in San José.
Through extensive engagement with staff, supporters, and importantly, community members like you, this process will result in a flexible plan outlining clear priorities. It will help us focus our efforts on improvements that best meet community needs and expectations.
