Lawyers in the Library is held on the 3rd Floor in Room 392 at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library.

The program starts at 6:00 PM and runs until 8:00 PM. The library is located on the corner of Fourth Street and East San Fernando Street, in downtown San José.

The address is 150 East San Fernando Street, San José, CA 95112.

How to Make an Appointment

To make an appointment for a free, 20-minute legal consultation, you must call 408-808-2382 on Monday mornings, starting at 10:00 AM, for an appointment that same evening. Once the appointments slots are full, no further calls can be taken.

Your phone reservation guarantees you an appointment with a lawyer, but only if you are on time. If you are not on time, we cannot hold your appointment and will have to move on to the next client.

The library is closed on all major holidays. There will be no appointments on the following holidays in 2018:

  • Monday, October 8
  • Monday, November 12

The last appointment for 2018 will be December 17.
