Wednesday, September 17, 6-7 pm - Dealing with Grief and Other Emotional Challenges Through Meditation
Many people are turning to meditation to help cope with the intense and overwhelming emotions that we face in the world today. From the pain of grief from losing a loved one, to the pandemic, a difficult coworker, to an unexpected bill, to other life circumstances. Please join Jim Rose, M. Wednesday, October 22, 6:30 – 7:30 pm - Beyond Death, Medical Facts and Meditation
Since the 1980s when near death experiences (NDE) became part of the public consciousness, they have held endless attraction for people. Join Dr. Matthew Raider, a physician specializing in geriatrics, to hear the latest medical research and discover a simple, natural way to connect with the inner light talked about by those who’ve experienced a NDE. He then gives the audience an opportunity to learn and practice a simple meditation technique that can enable them to experience the peace and the Light that people who have had NDEs talk about. Dr. Matthew Raider received his M.D. degree with honors from the University of Michigan Medical School in 1979. He has had a long interest in meditation going back over 50 years. Wednesday, November 12, 6-7 pm - Seven Scientific Reasons to Meditate Now
Join us this evening for a program filled with insights on the topic of meditation. Dr. Saggar will provide data from recent neuroscientific studies on how regular meditation practices improve our physical, mental, and emotional health. He will also discuss how, by focusing one's attention (during meditation), we can gain happiness and harmony. Join Bruce Faithwick, long time meditator as he discusses the extraordinary effect of meditation. He will also present a simple, yet powerful meditation technique that will be explained and practiced during the session. This can enrich one’s life on many levels and help with seasonal stress. Bruce Faithwick is a successful business consultant in the software industry. He has been meditating for over 40 years and now focuses much of his time on his own personal development and in helping others who wish to do the same. Join long-time meditator Ankaj Goel as he offers this engaging workshop on how to use the practice of meditation to incorporate more love and peace in your life which in turn will have a profound transformation on your overall well-being. Ankaj Goel is a Director of Quality Assurance in the Healthcare Industry and has many years of experience in problem solving and quality assurance. He has been meditating for over 15 years and is very impressed with the results he has experienced personally. For the past 10 years Ankaj has been conducting meditation workshops where he discusses the benefits of meditation and how to incorporate this practice into one's daily routine.
