Fall into Fiction Writing Prompt: Diverse Voices

FALL INTO FICTION WRITING PROMPT:

DIVERSE VOICES

One of the amazing benefits of living here in the South Bay is that there is tremendous diversity in our community. The plethora of languages, cultures and backgrounds is a powerful reminder of our mutual humanity. Over half the families in the area speak a language other than English and it is believed that up to 100 different languages and dialects are spoken here in the Bay Area.

At a time when so many voices are being shut down or silenced, Fall Into Fiction invites and encourages you to make your voice heard. What makes your voice, your culture, your language, your background, your perspective or experience unique? What do you want people to know about your experiences? What makes you wonder, “If only people knew that…” about your experience or background that might make a difference in how people relate to you?

Fall into Fiction is an opportunity to allow you to lift up your voice and be heard by the community. This is a time when you can be seen as your whole self and how you truly want to be seen. So speak out loud, be heard, be counted, and show the world what it means to be you!
