Learning & Literacy Services supports people in many different ways. Maybe you improved your reading, practiced English, passed your citizenship test, found a better job, or helped your child with school. If the library has made a difference in your life, we invite you to share your story.
Tell us about your experience as a learner, family member, volunteer, or community partner. Your story can inspire others to learn, volunteer, and connect with our programs. Stories submitted in any language are welcome and encouraged.
Liz's Story
I've found a joy in reading again. It inspired me knowing that the stories I read include people who made changes in their lives, faced their fears, seeked support from loved ones, learned more about their strengths, etc. Now, I look at stories as a way to grow and learn from other's journey's. What once seemed like a way to escape life, now I read books as a way to be more grateful and grow as a human being.
