Read, Learn, Win!
Keep your mind sharp, active, and engaged by participating in the San José Public Library’s Summer Learning program! Free and open to everyone, this community-wide celebration fosters a lifelong love of reading, introduces exciting new books and authors, and sparks connection through dynamic programming at all of our convenient locations across the city. By registering, you will also be eligible to win exciting grand prizes, such as tickets to an upcoming San José Earthquakes or Bay FC match.

Summer Learning Grand Prizes
Register, track your reading, and complete the Summer Learning program for your chance to win a grand prize! With more than 125 total prizes available across all library locations, there are plenty of opportunities to win. Every branch will award the following prizes by age level:
More Prizes, More Winners
Bay FC VIP Experience
Lucky winners will receive one of several family 4-packs to the Aug. 23 Bay FC match with access to Bay FC’s field-level suite! The VIP giveaway includes one parking pass or Lyft credit for transportation.

SJ Earthquakes Tickets
Lucky winners will receive one of several family 4-packs to an SJ Earthquakes game. The 4-pack dates will be any 2026 regular season game except September 19.

Free Pizza for a Year
Lucky winners will receive one large pizza per month for 12 months from participating Mountain Mike’s locations. Winners must download the Mountain Rewards app and create an account to receive their monthly pizza vouchers.
Additional winners will receive a voucher for one free small pizza. Vouchers expire December 31, 2026.
How to participate
- Sign up online through Beanstack or download the app, and then pick up a registration prize* at any SJPL location:
- Youth (Ages 0-18): One FREE book
- Adults (Ages 18+): FREE flashlight keychains - Read 8 books or 8 hours. Everything you read counts!
- Track your reading in Beanstack and finish the program to earn a completion prize.
All participants who complete the program will also be eligible to win a grand prize.
