San José Student Library Card - Participating School Districts

The goal of both SJPL and San José school districts is to increase literacy and educational success through comprehensive, strategic, and sustainable collaboration. The initiation of the Library’s juvenile fines free program in July 2018 has provided the necessary foundation for San José’s 19 school districts to enter into partnership with the Library in order to increase access to library materials and services to K-12 students in San José. This partnership allows students to easily access and use SJPL’s electronic and print resources freely using a San José Student Library Card. This Card may be a physical card or a card number based on the student ID, depending on the school district.
