Native American Heritage Month

Honoring Native Voices

Remembering roots. Inspiring futures.

During the month of November, we observe Native American Heritage Month. Tracing its roots back to American Indian Day in 1916, it was first recognized nationally in 1990 by President George H. W. Bush. It's a time to honor the history, cultures, and contributions of Native peoples, including the native tribes of Santa Clara Valley. Join us at the library to explore Native American culture with stories, crafts, books, and more.
