(Note: This post was written prior to the fires that are currently endangering the beautiful region of Big Sur. We hope that these fires are dealt with quickly and that people can return to their homes, and that the forests and wildlife will return, rejuvenate, and restore.)
One of the most amazing things about living in California, is being able to drive down the Pacific Coast Highway, and take in all the beauty of the coastline, The trees, the beaches, the ocean, the winding roads through the cliffs. This area has been immortalized in photos and films. It's definitely one of my favorites, especially when the weather is warm and sunny. Wonderful for a day trip, even better when it's a couple of days.
