From folklore into the written word and onto the stage and silver screen, the character of the Vampire has evolved throughout time. Each generation finds the mythos and adds something new to it. And I absolutely LOVE horror movies. Since we are close to Halloween, here are my TOP 13 selections for Vampires Movies and Shows! Check these out at your local library for a movie marathon you can sink your teeth into!
My Top 13:
Honorable mentions: I definitely have a fondness for Castlevania, and I recently watched AMC's The Vampire Lestat. Sam Reid is doing an absolutely stellar performance as Lestat, and I highly recommend it. We don't currently have it available at the library but keep your eyes open for it soon.
Special Note: 2027 will mark the 40th Anniversary of the release of "The Lost Boys". I really hope that Santa Cruz finds a way to mark the occasion, because it had an impact upon so many of us. The soundtrack is still on regular rotation any time we drive to Santa Cruz.
