San José Public Library to Reopen 7 Branches for Limited Indoor Services Starting Today

What:

The time has come! Starting today, Monday, May 24, the San José Public Library (SJPL) will be reopening seven branch libraries and welcome San Joseans back to browse its shelves, check out materials and tech devices, access public computers and printers, pick up holds, and get answers to reference questions.

Join us as we open our doors to the public after 14-months of being temporarily closed due to the pandemic. Goodie bags will be given out to the first 100-hundred visitors.

The first seven of SJPL’s 25 locations set to reopen are: Alum Rock, Biblioteca Latinoamericana, Joyce Ellington, Tully Community, Alviso, Evergreen, and West Valley branch libraries. These branches will open at a 50-percent capacity, and the hours of operation will be from 1-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday.

For more information and details about the Library’s reopening, visit: www.sjpl.org/reopening.
