Improve English Conversation Skills
PAR offers free ESL tutoring to adults in groups of up to four people. If you are interested, an orientation and assessment are required. To register for an orientation and assessment, please call (408) 808-2361 or fill out the PAR Contact Form. Due to demand, individuals may be placed on a waitlist before being matched with a tutor.
PAR also encourages you to visit virtual or in-person conversation clubs hosted by library branches throughout San José.

Become a Volunteer ESL Tutor
Help adults develop their English speaking skills and accomplish their individual learning goals. Tutoring is done in groups of up to four learners.
All materials and training are provided and no experience is necessary. Tutors do not need to be native English speakers.
