Reading to Furry Friends

Dog on top of open book and next to a stack of books.

1st Tuesday of Month

Children naturally feel comfortable around dogs.  By making the most of this relationship, parents and teachers can improve literacy skills and encourage reading.  At this program we will pair children who want to improve their reading skills and get extra reading time in with literacy assistance dogs (and their trainers) from Furry Friends, for some one-on-one fun.  Furry Friends' mission is to consistently facilitate delivery of the love and affection of its volunteers and their pets.  Bring your favorite book to share with our friendly canines!
