Immigrant Heritage Month

Hands holding flags of different countries of the world.

The month of June marks National Immigrant Heritage Month. In addition to celebrating America’s diversity, it also celebrates the contributions of millions of immigrants that live in the U.S.

Stop by the branch to add your sticker to our Immigrant Heritage map. Whether your family has lived in the U.S. for two weeks or over two hundred years, place a sticker of your birth country and/or that of your family's heritage. Learn about your community's backgrounds. This map will be on display all month long.

Also, come see our National Immigrant Heritage month displays. Browse books about countries from which many of our East SJ Carnegie Branch community members have migrated, their cultures and customs. Learn more about citizenship and language learning resources.
