CS4U is a free, fun computer science workshop for children in grades 4 to 7. The program involves lectures, presentations, hands-on group activities, and independent practice. Computers are not required. The program covers elementary-level computer science concepts, such as binary, octal and hexadecimal number systems, as well as Boolean algebra and pre/postfix expressions using stack data structure. The material covered in the program will help participants prepare for American Computer Science League tests.
The program starts on Saturday, Oct. 6. It will meet weekly, on consecutive Saturdays, until Dec. 1 (no session on Nov. 24). Each session meets from 2:00-3:30.
