CS4U is a free, fun computer science workshop for children who will be entering grades 4 to 7. The program involves lectures, presentations, hands-on group activities, and independent practice. Computers are not required. The program covers elementary-level computer science concepts, such as binary, octal and hexadecimal number systems, as well as Boolean algebra and pre/postfix expressions using stack data structure. The material covered in the program will help participants prepare for American Computer Science League tests.
The program starts on Monday, June 25 at 5:15 at the West Valley Library. The program will meet each Monday until August 13 (a total of eight sessions). REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS ARE EXPECTED TO ATTEND ALL SESSIONS.
