Break out your blue and purple flags, September 16-23 is Bisexual Awareness Week! The point is to increase awareness of all people under the bisexual umbrella. This includes people who identify as bisexual (attracted to their own gender and others), pansexual (attracted to people regardless of their gender identity), people who describe their sexuality as fluid, queer, and many others.
There are a lot of labels out there, plus people who don’t want a label at all. The point is to acknowledge and accept them for who they are! Those who are under the bi+ umbrella often face a world that places sexuality in rigid boxes, making their experiences feel invisible. The library seeks to embrace people of all identities, and so we've included a list of fiction and non-fiction books for your perusal.
