    When There's More To The Story If there's one constant in researching one's family genealogy it is to expect the unexpected. This is especially true when it comes to connections with distant relatives. In my case this peripheral connection to history and a subsequent mystery was a second cousin three times removed named Annette Arends. Her 1st husband was a highly decorated 9th Army Air Corps P-47 pilot from World War 2 nicknamed the "Kentucky Colonel" and his name was Wilfred Crutchfield.
