Tully Community Seed Library

The SJPL Tully Community Branch Library is pleased to announce the establishment of a NEW Seed Library to benefit the local community. Seeds have been generously donated by local growers and are offered for free to the public.

What is a Seed Library?

Seed libraries are a repository that shares a wide-selection of seeds, such as vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, and other garden plants—with the public, free of charge. These seeds are donated or harvested by local growers, and then packaged into smaller bundles for community members to take home.

Whether you’re an experienced or an amateur gardener, young or old, all are welcome to grow their gardens, and grow as gardeners. We hope that for every seed taken, more will be donated to sustain the Tully Community Seed Library and cultivate future growers.

How to Make the Most of the Tully Community Seed Library

  • Visit During Library Hours: The Tully Community seed library operates daily during open library hours. Simply head to the front desk and request the seeds you'd like.
  • Don't Forget to Donate: We ask that you take only what you need for the growing season. If you have extra seeds from your garden, consider donating them to the Tully Community Seed Library. Your contributions can help enrich the selection for everyone.
  • Plant with Care: Each seed has its unique requirements. Be sure to research the specific needs of the plants you choose, including sunlight, soil, and watering.
  • Share Your Success: As your garden flourishes, share your experiences with fellow gardeners and the library. Your insights could inspire others and foster a thriving community of garden enthusiasts.
