It's crazy to believe that the year is almost over because it flew by so fast. But it was a year filled with YA books ranging from fantasy to historical fiction to horror, heart-pounding mysteries, laugh-out-loud romances, spin-offs of beloved movies, and diverse lyrical retellings of popular classics. There were some fantastic debuts and continuations to the series we love.
Some of the staff here at San José Public Library have shared a few of their favorites published this year. So if you're like me and are a little bit behind on your reading goal for the year or want to build your TBR pile for 2023, this list is a perfect place to start.
