Small Business Saturday 2015

Since 2010, the Saturday after Thanksgiving has been deemed "Small Business Saturday," a day that encourages people to support and celebrate locally-owned small businesses by shopping at them. Last year, 88 million people showed up to Small Business Saturday, and in 2013, customers throughout the United States spent $5.7 billion on just that one day! This year, Small Business Saturday falls on November 28. If you are a small business owner, and you would like free marketing materials to help inspire your customers to shop on Small Business Saturday, fill out your information at this link by November 16. Additionally, Shop San José provides information on local businesses and business districts in San José, as well as a list of reasons why it is important to shop locally.

For small business owners, the Small Business Administration (SBA) provides advice on how to prepare your business for Small Business Saturday as well as the holiday shopping season. San José Public Library fully supports local businesses each and every day by offering a wealth of online and print resources, programs and workshops, and a designated business librarian available to provide business research assistance.
