Silicon Valley Reads 2022: Kindness, Resilience, and Hope

Silicon Valley Reads 2022: Kindness, Resilience, and Home

Silicon Valley Reads is an annual community program that selects books focused on a contemporary theme and offers free events to Santa Clara County residents to engage the public in reading, thinking and discussing the topic. The goals are to encourage the love of reading and learning and to have a welcoming forum where our diverse community can come together to share different perspectives.

Silicon Valley Reads 2022 is focused on stories of inspiration and includes three memoirs, companion books for children and teens, and recommended fiction titles. Last year’s theme of “Connecting” deeply resonated in our community, as readers of all ages found new ways to build connections. In 2022, we will continue to connect through the Power of Kindness, Resilience & Hope with meaningful stories and a combination of virtual and in-person events to motivate and inspire the community.

Silicon Valley Reads is presented by San José Public Library, Santa Clara County Library District, and the Santa Clara County Office of Education. The full calendar of events across all organizations is here.
