Local History Hits the Big Screen

Local historical figure Sarah Winchester and her house, the Winchester Mystery House, are about to become more popular after the release of a film titled "Winchester" on February 8, 2018. Actress Helen Mirren will play Sarah Winchester. The film is a thriller focusing on the story that Sarah believed she was being haunted by spirits, and she continually added on rooms to her house to try to evade them.

Sarah was a very private woman which has made her life a bit of a mystery, just like her house.
