San Jose Public Library - Battle of the Bands

Rock out at the 9th Annual Battle of the Bands!

Join us at the Almaden Branch Library on Saturday, November 19 at 3pm to see five local bands go head to head. Watch them live to see who will take home the top prize. Audience members will also be eligible to win exciting drawing prizes.

Battle of the Bands is an annual event held at a specially selected San Jose Public Library branch.  It features five different teen musical acts from throughout San Jose and the greater Bay Area.  Bands, who will be competing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place titles.  Each winning band will receive a cash prize in the form of a gift card. The Axidents:

The Axidents are a new up and coming alternative band from San Jose, CA, who know how to have some fun. The band formed in October 2015 and have played shows all over The Bay. The band is influenced by bands like The Strokes and Weezer. They want to bring classic alternative sounds to a new generation of music fans.

Feedback is a trio band from Santa Teresa High School. Revolution is not an apple that falls when it is ripe. You have to make it fall.



Nauimovement has been making music, since his father saw his talent at the age of one. Starting with traditional Aztec drum, Nauimovement has developed his musical talent into learning guitar, playing in a homeschool band, and making his own music. Currently he enjoys playing covers by other artists and working on his own songs.

One Week:

One Week is a group of high school friends, who enjoy making music and decided to form a band. The band members love making music for music's sake and just for fun. One Week plays mostly contemporary music and cover songs.


thanksbird! is a music project trying to fuse pop and experimental electronic music in the best and most innovative ways possible.
