May is Preservation Month!

Preservation in our community is important to the future of our local environment. Preserving parklands and wetlands provide open space for recreational activities and outdoor therapy. Our open spaces allow locals and visitors the ability to unwind in nature. Preserving our parkland provides camping, hiking, bike trials, and sustainable habitats for local wildlife. Preserving our wetland ensures homes for local wildlife and environment sustainability. Preservation of historic landmarks in our community allow us to learn about local history and will inform many generations for years to come.

Environmental sustainability has become even more important in time of droughts and economic health. Being aware of our climate and surrounding environment helps us change our habits for better sustainability as a community. Support local communities and parks when traveling.
