Join the Evolution of Learning

LRNG is a collective shift in learning.

It begins with youth and where they are.
It connects their passions, people and purpose.
It empowers them for success in the connected age.

New Learning Platform for Teens and Young Adults

LRNG is a new platform which allows teens and young adults, ages 13-24, to plug into community learning opportunities which give them the skills needed to succeed. After creating a free account, teens can complete playlists, which are learning experiences (XPs) gathered into an engaging package. Completing a playlist rewards teens with a badge which translates into real world skills and opportunities.

Playlist Creators

This summer, the city of San José was one of eight cities in the United States chosen to pilot the innovative new LRNG platform. You can be one of the first to try it out! The San José city LRNG page has access to global playlists from Gap, Inc and WE to locally created playlists from Silicon Valley Education Foundation, San José Parks, Recreation & Neighborhood Services, CoderDojo, and San José Public Library. Teens can gain all the skills needed to land their first jobs, become digital music producers, or learn how to become whitehat hackers.

Signing up is a breeze! Just go to San José’s LRNG page and create a new account using an email or mobile phone number. Feedback is greatly appreciated during this summer pilot and may be sent to the Library’s Innovations Manager, Erin Berman, erin.berman@sjlibrary.org.
