Plan Your Trip

We have plenty of fun travel guides to help you plan your next Disneyland trip including my favorite, The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland, written by the same folks that run touringplans.com. Or if you're looking for information on the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge land, check out some of the more recent articles about it available from EBSCO.

History of the Park

Want to read more about the history of Disneyland? We've got some great books on that topic as well, including a fun photo collection from Tom Bricker of Disney Tourist Blog from "One More Disney Day" when Disneyland was open for 24 hours on Leap Day 2012. There's also a nice summary article from US History in Context that you can read here.

The Happiest Music on Earth

Hoopla has several Disneyland soundtracks available from Slue-Foot Sue's Golden Horseshoe Review to the Legacy Collection that was released for the park's 60th anniversary to one of my favorites, The Circle Sessions, that features music from the fabulous Carthay Circle Restaurant in Disney California Adventure.

There are also a couple of fun documentaries and specials about Disneyland available on Hoopla.

Behind the Magic

Check out a biography or documentary about Walt Disney or some of the other Imagineers and talents behind the magic of Disneyland. The Sherman Brothers have written many songs for the Disney parks and for Disney movies and several are featured on their excellent Songbook collection which is available on Hoopla, along with Imagineer Marty Sklar's book and Imagineer Joe Rohde's documentary to raise funds for snow leopard conservation.

From Reality to Fantasy

We also have some fun fictional reads that feature Disneyland and other Disney parks. Ridley Pearson's Kingdom Keepers series is a fun set of books geared towards young readers featuring several of the Disney parks. There are also a couple of tie-in books for the movie Tomorrowland which featured Disney rides that were originally from the 1964-1965 New York World's Fair.
