eSpotlight - The Season to Celebrate the Fruit of the Vine

A vineyard with grape leaves showing fall colors

Local Autumn Winery Experiences

Autumn has officially arrived and with it, the fall harvest. This can be a great time of year to visit a local vineyard to sample some local wines and possibly experience the grape harvesting phase of the wine making process. With wineries throughout the Santa Clara Valley, you don’t have to travel to Napa or Sonoma to experience a day of winery tours and wine tasting.

I enjoy wine and have always wanted to learn more about it, especially the selection and pairing process. How do I decide which wine to have with dinner? Which wine is best to give as a gift? I was delighted to see the variety of electronic resources available from the San Jose Public Library to enhance my knowledge of this most celebrated libation.
