We are in this together!
Children, parents, caregivers, educators, library staff, community agencies, and adults everywhere are making choices, decisions, sharing plans, and having conversations: Is it safe to go back to school? Can children transmit the virus? Will my child be able to learn in a peaceful space? Let's pause right here, and let's pivot too! Will you reimagine Back-2-School with me? Cool! Now, let's take this journey together.

Let's Practice "Back2Cool"
This year has been a challenge for work, school, and families…trying to hold it all together. Yet, from that challenge came some unexpected change- distant learning created space for parents to share in their children's struggles and discoveries! Now parents know what their children do all day in school ♦ and teachers know how to help students learn better.
Remember: Your San Jose Public Library Branch make it possible for students and families to continue learning, even when school isn’t in session (summer, winter break, etc.). Visit Our SJPL Student-Help Page
Let's practice "C.O.O.L." this Back2School!
Courageous: Distant Learning was tough, but I know you can do it! Have a great first day of school! You got this.
Optimistic: "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” – Nelson Mandela
Open-minded: "Renewing your mind requires opening yourself up to new ways of thinking and feeling”
Learning: Learning is a life-long adventure! It can be frustrating at times, but it can also be incredibly enriching. Learning will help you grow and learn from your mistakes.
