Add-ons for Your Browser or Webpage
Library Lookup Bookmarklet for Firefox
See if the Library has a book you find on a bookseller's website like Amazon, Barnes & Noble, BooksAMillion, etc.
Installation for Firefox:
- You must be using Firefox and have its "Bookmarks Toolbar" visible. If you do not, go to View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar.
- Don't click the following link! Instead, DRAG this SJLibrary Lookup link to the Bookmarks Toolbar.
- Next time you are on a bookseller's book web page, simply click the SJLibrary Lookup button in the Bookmarks Toolbar. A Library Catalog web page will open, showing if the Library has the book. Any site that has the book's ISBN in the page URL will work with the Bookmarklet. If you get a blank page with a number, this means that an ISBN was not present.

- Words entered into the Chrome address bar will now automatically be searched for in the Library Catalog. If you would prefer to have another search engine as the active one in the address bar, just switch them back on the "Options" screen. The Library Catalog will still remain as a choice, should you need it.
