Small Business Workshop at the Santa Teresa Library

This Saturday, August 11th 2012, from 10:30am-12:30pm, the special guest speaker at the Small Business Workshop will be Santa Clara County Supervisor, Mike Wasserman. He will be talking about his personal experience in business, the upcoming Small Business Economic Summit, and how he has been changing county government to run more like a business.

 

This event is free and will be held in the Santa Teresa Library's community room.



New and Small Business Workshop Series at Santa Teresa


On Saturday, July 14th 2012 @ Santa Teresa Branch Library, from 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM, Patti Glick from Hand to Hand Contact, will share the insights that have made her a successful networker and THE queen of follow-up. Patti will shed light on some of the most common mistakes made in networking and follow-up as well as share a simple system that can create customers for life and endless referrals.

If you haven't already you should check out the free Small Business Workshops that have been happening at the Santa Teresa Library every 2nd Saturday of the month.  The next workshop on April 14th from 10:30 am-12:30 pm will cover business plans.

From Complexity to Simplicity: The Fastest, Easiest Way to Write a Business Plan

 

The  guest speaker will be Lynnea Hagen, founder of The Abundance Company.  Lynnea is a speaker, trainer, author, consultant, as well as founder and owner of The Abundance Company. Her specialties include: Advanced leadership skills and “Success-Driven” strategic business plans for entrepreneurs and corporate professionals. She has been a consultant to Silicon Valley-based corporations since 1981, and a coach to corporate professionals since 1986.

 

In this Workshop you will learn:

 

1. How to organize your business ideas into a One-Page Business Plan.

2. How to create a "Living Document" out of your business plan.

3. How to get unstuck: go home with a working rough draft of your business plan.

  

The library has Free WiFi and plenty of electrical outlets so laptops are most welcome.

 

There will be time for networking as well.

This month's guest speakers include Cheryl & Steve Ellemberg from ABD Promotions. Cheryl is the founder of ABD Promotions and publisher of the “Small Business Marketing Blog.” Steve is a web designer and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) since 1998.

 

There is free WiFi and plenty of electrical outlets, so please feel free to bring your laptops. Also advised to bring your own promotional materials (flyers, brochures, business cards, etc.)
