Holiday Season in Berryessa

Program highlights:

  • Book Giveways for Children (while supplies last. Child must be present to receive one book)
  • Winter Wonderland Photo Ops (bring your own camera to take pictures with our beautiful backdrop)
  • Fun Crafts and Candy Canes
  • Marathon concerts of songs, dances and sing-alongs

Holiday Sing-Along


Do you like to sing?  Do you like holiday music?   If the answer is yes, you are invited to sing classic holiday tunes, accompanied by Mr. K on oboe and Auntie Dawn on ‘ukulele.  Song sheets will be provided. 

 

This fun event will be presented twice:

Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at the Edenvale Branch Library

Holiday Card Making

Use Legos and other unusual items to make stamp art! We will be creating cards to give to friends and family over the holidays. For children ages 5-12.

 

Green Holiday Crafts for Families

Save Green and Go Green this Christmas Holiday. We supply the materials and suggestion, you supply the imagination. This family event is presented by Our City Forest.

For Teens:

Advanced Craft: Holiday Cards

Let your creativity loose and create cards or gift tags to use during the holiday season.

 

Teens and tweens are invited to use scrapbooking paper, stencils, paper punches and other supplies to create unique cards.  Bring your friends and join in the fun! All supplies will be provided.

 

For Adults:

Greening Your Holiday Celebration Workshop

Our City Forest will host a hands-on workshop focused on saving money and reducing waste during the holidays. Featured topics include eco-friendly gift giving, holiday crafts utilizing recycled materials and cooking with seasonal and local produce. Festivities will include complementary refreshments and a raffle of environmentally themed prizes.

Enjoy an hour of live Mariachi music at this fun concert for all ages.

 

South Bay Guitar Quartet

The Fratello Marionettes Present: The North Pole Review

Join the fun with a puppet extravaganza. We will meet a frosty juggling penguin, an ice skating snowman, and the Hawaiian singing sensation the "Hi-Fi Sisters". Great fun for all ages.

 

Holiday Concert with the South Bay Guitar Society Quartet

Celebrate the holiday season with the acclaimed South Bay Guitar Society Quartet (Ben Zussman, Scott Swink, Tom Gardin and Jerry Snyder. Many traditional, classical and popular selections will be presented to bring in this joyous season.



Breakfast With Santa


Santa ClausThe Almaden Community Center hosted Breakfast with Santa on December 11. This fun family event included a tasty breakfast, art activities for children and an opportunity to pose for a picture with Santa and receive a special gift.  Almaden Librarian “Mr. K” presented a selection of holiday stories and songs.  Check out photos from this fun holiday event.



Santa Visits Edenvale on Saturday, December 11th


Santa Claus will visit Edenvale Branch Library on Saturday, Dec. 11 @ 1:00 PM. Please bring your digital camera to take a photo or two of your child with Santa. The Library will provide one color photo per family, as long as supplies last. We hope to give a book to every child that attends. There will be a little take home craft, too. The program runs from 1:00 to 4:00 and will be held in the Community Room of Edenvale Branch Library.
