Alberto Cardona is a classically trained guitarist from Colombia.  He has studied classical guitar for twenty years.  He loves playing and listening to a variety of classical guitar music.  Alberto also takes ESL classes from Cris at both Biblioteca Latinoamerica and East San Jose Carnegie Branch.  One Tuesday in April, Alberto played some beautiful music for his classmates at one of Biblioteca Latinoamericana's ESL classes.  Check out this awesome YouTube video where Alberto plays music for his classmates!

Jonnie Pekelny (voice) and Toku Woo (guitar) are a local duo who play and sing Russian folk songs and Russian pop songs. Jonnie is a native of St. Petersburg, Russia, and has been singing Russian songs since her early childhood.   In addition to performing at a variety of Bay Area venues, Jonnie has also taught and performed at the annual San Francisco Free Folk Festival.    

Everyone is invited to this fun event, which will take place on the 2nd floor of the King Library.   Bring your family and friends!

You are cordially invited to a concert with Bev Barnett and Greg Newlon.  This fun event will take place on Tuesday, July 17th, 2012 at 6:00 pm in the Community Room of the Edenvale Branch Library.

If you missed Elizabeth Erickson's lovely harp performance last week, there are still two more great opportunities to join us for some live seasonal music.

Stop by on Saturday, December 10 at 2pm for a performance by the De Anza Circle recorder ensemble. They've prepared some delightful holiday music from around the world. Bring the family! Maybe it will inspire you or your little ones to pick up a recorder of your own to play. We've got books & DVDs to help you learn.

Join us the following week on Saturday, December 17 at 4pm for a Holiday Concert with the South Bay Guitar Society Quartet, made possible by generous support from the Friends of the West Valley Library.
