Easter Eggs!


The Easter Bunnny That Overslept book coverThe Easter Bunny that Overslept, written by by Priscilla and Otto Friedrich, and illustrated by Donald Saaf.   One year, the Easter Bunny overslept and missed Easter.   The Easter Bunny woke up in May, and tried to deliver his eggs, even though it was the wrong time of the year.   The Easter Bunny has an idea to get people interested in the eggs.  What is he going to do?

Minerva Louise, the hen, takes a walk around the farm and finds many colorful eggs.   Minerva Louise is confused, so she tells the other hens, who also wander around, wondering what is going on.  

 

Both of these gently humorous picture books have beautiful pictures for children and their loved ones to enjoy.

Come to Tully Community Branch Library  for a Easter Egg Hunt on  Thursday, April 5th at 4:00pm.

 

Doing spring-themed craft in the community room and searching eggs in the children's area.  There will also be a free book giveaway. We invite kids (ages 12 & under) and their families.
 
Check out fabulous children books for your kids from the San Jose Public library. Here is a good recommendation for you. 

 

Polly Horvath  is a fabulous author of children's books and her works have been translated into other languages. She has won many awards and recognition from National Book Award, NAPPA Gold Award, Parent's Choice Gold Award, Newbery Honor, etc....

Mr. and MRs. Bunny - Detectives Extraordinaire! is the latest book that translated by Polly Horvath and published in February 2012.
    
                                                                                                               
This is children's mystery fiction book that is suitable for fifth graders . It is an adventures between Madeline and a pair of detective bunnies searching for Madeline's parents who were kidnapped by disreputable foxes.

Spring Fling Egg Hunts


Now that the rains have come and gone it is finally beginning to feel like Spring! For many, this season is the start of spending lots of time outdoors and making new friends--so why not combine the two? The San José Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) is hosting a series of Spring Fling Egg Hunts and Events citywide throughout this month . The events, all of which are open to the public, are designed to promote outdoor activities and healthy exercise. The Spring Fling will have everything from Rabbit Runs to Egg-on-a-Spoon Skate Races.
