Tell us about yourself.
Hello! I’m Angelina. I was born and raised in San Jose and absolutely love the diversity that this city has. I never realized how lucky I was to have all these different cultures around me until I left the Bay Area. I love the Bay Area and all of the wonderful things that it has to offer, such as, hiking, concerts, free outdoor movies, and especially food!
Why are you interested in volunteering?
I am interested in volunteering because I like to see and help people grow and evolve into who they really want to be. I love giving back to this community because I grew up here and it is great to see it become a better place.
What do you like about the East San Jose Carnegie Branch Library?
I really like the East San Jose Carnegie Branch because it was one of the first libraries in this area. It is one of the oldest buildings around here! I love that even though it is brand new inside it is still a part of what has made San Jose the way it is today. Also, it is a small library so you get to know the amazing people who work there. They can help you find anything you need in the library and they have tons of resources that they can give you.
