Join us in the Almaden Library Program Room on Tuesday, February 1, at 6:30-7:30 PM for a free program on Santa Clara County's wild canines, including coyotes.
Coyotes are wild dogs that roam the Almaden foothills and other areas of Santa Clara County. As the local Open Space Authority website states, "When they’re young, they run in packs of all males or all females." Regarding their eating habits, the website states, "Their diet is mostly small mammals like rabbits and squirrels but they also eat birds, snakes, lizards, roadkill and domestic pets. [emphasis added] Occasionally they even work together to take down a deer."
Come and see photos of canines in the wild and learn about their behavior at this interesting, informative program. Fun for all ages, this program will be presented by the Santa Clara County Open Space Authority.
